Overview
Serials come in 2 varieties:
- Normal serials which can be deleted and recreated as often as you want. These are assigned automatically when a person buys your game from your website
- Reserved serials should not be deleted as they are the ones you give away for things like inclusion in physical copies of your game
This section shows you an overview of how many serials you have created and how many have already been claimed.
Under Generate Serials you can generate as many serials as you want (max 500 at a time). Simply pick a number and select if these are reserved for manual distribution or normal serials (default). Then simply click on Generate and you are ready to distribute your game.
NOTE: When a person buys your game from your website and there are no available serials left to issue that person, this system will auto generate a couple of serials and assign one of them to the person who just bought your game.
Game Data
In this second section you get the tools to manage the serials for each game
- View Available:
Here you can see how many unclaimed normal serials you have left. You can also copy paste serials from here to give them to individuals like reviewers or friends etc. - View Allocated
See the normal serials already allocated to players - View Reserved
View the reserved serials you have available - View Allocated Reserved
View the serials that have already been claimed. In the event that someone contacts you to say they want to resell their game you can also revoke their serial from here. This user will then lose their ability to log in to the said game and will need to buy a new serial - Delete Unallocated
Should you suspect your serials have been compromised, click here to delete all the remaining ones so you can generate new ones - Delete Unallocated Reserved
Same as above but for the reserved serials. Delete all unclaimed serials with one click then you can generate new ones
User Data
Under the user data section you can see all the serials this user has. Since a user can only have 1 serial per game this is basically a list of which games this user owns.
After you have selected a game and a player you can see whether this player has a serial for this game or not. If he does not then you can allocate him one by clicking on “Allocate”. Conversely, if they already have a serial for this game you can revoke it by clicking on “Revoke Serial”
